Exact-match filter
A check applied after retrieval that discards results the source matched by stem or by approximation rather than by the term the caller asked for.
It costs no extra request, because the candidates arrived in the response either way. Where a tool charges per delivered row, applying the filter before billing is what stops its own false positives from becoming a revenue source.
