Result cap
A hard limit on how many results one query can return, applied to the query itself rather than to a page, so no amount of paginating reaches past it.
The distinction matters because the two limits have opposite remedies. A page-size limit is solved by asking for the next page; a result cap is only solved by asking a narrower question.
